Catherine Leutenegger. Lausanne (Switzerland), 1983. She earned a BA and MA in photography at the University of Art and Design ECAL, in Lausanne. In her first series Hors-champ, published in 2006, she explored the workshops of other photographers such as Nicolas Chassot, Yann Fudala and Christine Schmidt to create a series of images that depict each artist’s personal space. In 2007 she published her second book, The Kodak City, a project whose main theme is the definitive switch from analogue to digital photography. She has won several awards such as the Swiss Federal Sedign Grants in 2006 and 2008; the Raimond Weil Club International Photography Prize, in 2008; the BCV Encouragement Prize and the Banque Cantonale Vaudoise, in 2006. Her work is part of private and public collections, such as those of the Musée de l’Elysée, the Banque Cantonale Vaudoise, Maus Frères Holding and Raymond Weil. www.cleutenegger.com
